The Beacon Parking Garage at Emory University Hospital Midtown

Originally envisioned as an artistic and eye-catching addition to the Atlanta skyline, the parking deck was designed as a fully precast concrete structure positioned prominently along the downtown connector.

Clad in iridescent metal panels, the building’s exterior serves as both a symbol of the healthcare system’s commitment to the community and a beacon for daily commuters dedicated to serving others.

KSi, now part of Wallace Design Collective, provided structural engineering services for a 1,000,000 square foot, 16-level parking garage featuring 2,898 spaces, making it one of the largest in the Southeast. Designed to support a variety of transportation needs, the facility includes staff parking, electric vehicle charging stations, designated ride-share areas and active ground-level retail space across all three street-facing facades.
