The Pencil Box is expanding its reach to equip more Tulsa teachers and students for success.

This Tulsa-based nonprofit works to remove barriers to learning by providing free school supplies to teachers and students in under-resourced classrooms. Their new 13,500 square foot facility significantly expands the organization’s capacity to serve more schools, educators and students throughout the region.

Wallace Design Collective provided civil engineering and surveying services for the headquarters and distribution hub, including efficient site layout, grading, drainage, utility connections and parking to support the building’s operations.  The Pencil Box operates as a free store for educators in Tulsa County public schools, where at least 70% of students live at or below the federal poverty level.

Since its founding in 2015, the organization has distributed nearly $5 million in supplies to more than 50 high-need schools, equipping classrooms with the necessary tools for student success.
