Wallace Design Collective

The Georgia Cyber Center is a state-owned facility designed to promote modernization in cybersecurity technology for both the private and public sectors through unique education, training research, and practical applications. The buildings also include a high-security area used by the Georgia state government.

KSi, now part of Wallace Design Collective, provided structural engineering services for two office buildings, five stories each plus a mechanical penthouse, with a total of 325,500 square feet and a 777 car parking deck expandable to six levels and 1,197 parking spaces. The Cyber Center is the single largest investment in a cyber security facility by a state government to date.

The Hull McKnight building is home to certificate, undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral level programs in information technology, cybersecurity, and cyber sciences offered by Augusta University and Augusta Technical College. Training to meet the current and future workforce needs of private industry, as well as federal, state, and local government, is a key focus in the Georgia Cyber Center’s first building.

The Shaffer MacCarney building fosters innovation and entrepreneurship while serving as a hub for technology startups. It also includes leasable space available to firms and organizations supporting the stte’s cybersecurity ecosystem. Resident partners can leverage the center’s strategic resources while benefiting from the world-class collaboration between industry leaders, startup companies, academic institutions, and federal/state government entities.
