Freshman Academy Fine Arts Addition
Broken Arrow Public Schools
Since its formation in 1904, Broken Arrow Public Schools has become a dynamic leader in public education. The district serves more than 19,000 students in the urban-suburban community, with nearby agricultural areas and growing business and industrial bases.
The newly designed spaces meet the specialized needs of the music department’s choir, band and orchestra. Also, a new Black Box Theater – a performance stage and drama classroom that is literally a spacious black box with configurable lighting and seating – removed barriers to creative freedom. The addition also inspires collaboration among students and the community with its new courtyards and spaces for gathering before performances. Wallace provided structural and civil engineering services for the two-story, 46,000 square foot fine arts addition to the existing high school.
