As development accelerates around the Creek Turnpike corridor, infrastructure improvements have become essential to support growth and improve connectivity.

Wallace Design Collective provided civil engineering services for roadway and infrastructure improvements along the Creek Turnpike from Elm Street to the Oklahoma Aquarium. The project required close coordination with the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority to design ramp and intersection upgrades at Elm Street and Creek Turnpike, improving traffic flow and safety at a major regional gateway. From there, a new access road was extended to the Tulsa Premium Outlets and routed under the turnpike to connect back into Aquarium Drive near 7th Street.

Additional improvements included the extension of 101st Street to the Arkansas River and back into the mall complex from the east, enhancing circulation to key community destinations. The design features two signalized railroad crossings, four complex intersections, new roundabouts and 1.5 miles of two- and three-lane asphalt roadway with curb, gutter and sidewalk.

Complementing these transportation improvements, 1.5 miles of multi-use trail extensions were added with multiple street crossings, creating new pedestrian and bicycle connections that link Elm Street, the Oklahoma Aquarium complex and the future River District development. Together, these enhancements strengthen multimodal access, support regional growth and improve connectivity for residents and visitors.
