The Ernest Childers VA Outpatient Clinic in Tulsa serves as a vital healthcare hub for veterans in eastern Oklahoma.

Wallace Design Collective provided civil engineering services for the new Ernest Childers VA Outpatient Clinic in Tulsa. The two-story, 170,000 square foot healthcare facility includes 945 parking spaces and consolidates three former VA outpatient centers into one, modern location, expanding services and accessibility for veterans.

The clinic offers a full range of healthcare services, including audiology, behavioral health, dental, endoscopy, instrument sterilization, laboratory, optometry, pharmacy, physical therapy, primary care, prosthetic and sensory aids, rehabilitation and recovery, radiology, specialty care, and a women’s clinic. Additional amenities include patient registration, offices for Veteran Services Organizations, a Veterans Canteen Service retail store and food court, a VA Police operations suite, warehouse and storage space and five conference and educational rooms.

Wallace’s civil engineering scope included site layout, grading and drainage, onsite detention, service utilities, public main extensions and 404 nationwide permitting for the 22-acre site. The facility achieved Green Globes certification for sustainable design.
