A multi-level solution for expanded parking and campus connectivity.

The Northside Hospital Cherokee Parking Deck was developed to support both daily operations and long-term growth, adding more than 1,300 parking spaces – nearly doubling the campus’s capacity and improving access for patients, visitors and staff.

Wallace Design Collective provided structural engineering services for the multi-level parking deck, navigating significant challenges posed by the site’s steep topography. Integrating a large parking structure into a sloped hospital campus required carefully coordinated structural solutions to address grade changes, stability and constructibility while maintaining efficient circulation and connectivity.

The seven-level, 450,000 square foot parking deck was designed to function as more than a utilitarian structure. Architectural precast panels, metal accents and glass stair towers help the facility integrate seamlessly with the surrounding hospital buildings, reinforcing a cohesive campus identity while elevating the user experience.

By transforming a critical infrastructure need into a durable, visually integrated asset, the Northside Hospital Cherokee Parking Deck strengthens campus accessibility and supports the hospital’s continued ability to serve its community.
