Northside Hospital Forsyth Expansion

Northside Hospital Forsyth continues to expand and add services to meet the ever-growing health care needs of Forsyth County and its surrounding communities.
KSi Structural Engineers, now part of Wallace Design Collective, provided structural engineering services for Northside Hospital Forsyth’s 46,000 square foot vertical tower expansion. The project consisted of adding two new concrete floors on top of the existing hospital tower with an additional elevator and stair penthouses. The new floors added 43 additional patient rooms and associated support spaces for the hospital’s medical/surgical short-term stay department and women’s services. The project also included enclosing the roof and converting the space into a mid-tower mechanical floor, which was carefully coordinated to limit disruptions to existing patient rooms.
