Creating a place for wellness, recreation and connection at the heart of the community.

The Spalding County Aquatic Center brings a new level of recreational and instructional aquatic space to Griffin and the surrounding area. Designed to serve swimmers of all ages and abilities, the facility supports competitive events, swim instruction, therapy and everyday community use – strengthening access to health and wellness opportunities across Spalding County.

Wallace Design Collective provided structural engineering services for the new 20,750 square foot aquatic center. The facility includes an indoor eight-lane, 25-yard competition pool, a four-lane instructional and therapy pool, locker rooms and supporting spaces. The pool enclosure features a pre-engineered metal building roof system, thoughtfully integrated with the remainder of the facility’s roof structure to meet the unique demands of the aquatic environment while maintaining a cohesive architectural design.
