The Barfield

Part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, The Barfield captures the rich heritage and rugged charm of the Texas Panhandle. Originally built in 1926 as a 10-story office building, the historic structure has been thoughtfully transformed into a boutique hotel offering timeless elegance and modern comfort for both travelers and locals.

Wallace Design Collective provided structural engineering services for the adaptive reuse of the building, helping to preserve its character while supporting a complete interior renovation. The 112 guest rooms feature custom furnishings and upscale finishes. Hotel amenities include 2,500 square feet of meeting and event space, a fitness center, the upscale Toscana’s Italian Steakhouse and the Paramount Recreation Club, a speakeasy-style bar that nods to the building’s past.
