Meeting a fast-growing sport with a community-focused place to play.

As pickleball continues to surge in popularity nationwide, the City of Newnan recognized an opportunity to create a dedicated facility that could serve players of all skill levels while strengthening community connections. The House of Pickleball (HOP) delivers on that vision, providing a centralized destination designed for recreation, competition and social engagement.

KSi Structural Engineers, now part of Wallace Design Collective, provided structural engineering services for the project’s support buildings, including the shade pavilion, restrooms and concession areas that anchor the facility and enhance the player and spectator experience. These structures were designed to support daily use, special events and long-term durability, complementing the open-air nature of the courts while offering essential amenities.

Delivered through a design-build partnership, the 15-court complex is strategically located near the Newnan Public Safety Complex, C.J. Smith Park and the LINC, creating strong connectivity to existing community assets. Engagement with the local pickleball community helped shape the layout, pedestrian circulation and overall site concept, resulting in a facility that balances functionality, accessibility and comfort.

With features such as LED lighting, shaded gathering areas and convenient on-site amenities, the HOP is positioned to support hundreds of players from Newnan and surrounding areas – reinforcing the city’s commitment to active lifestyles and community-driven spaces.
