From its earliest vision to its ongoing growth, the Tulsa Botanic Garden has been shaped by thoughtful planning, design and collaboration.

Wallace Design Collective, along with Howell & Vancuren, now part of Wallace, has been involved with the Tulsa Botanic Garden since its inception. From initial site evaluation and selection to supporting the master planning effort led by a nationally renowned botanic garden planner, we have provided guidance and expertise throughout the project.

The Tulsa Botanic Garden, a 170-acre public garden northwest of downtown Tulsa in the scenic Osage Hills, celebrates the beauty and importance of plants while promoting a more sustainable world.

Guided by a comprehensive master plan, the garden features themed gardens, preserved native woodlands and prairie, and a seven-acre lake. Signature spaces include the A.R. & Marylouise Tandy Floral Terraces, the playful Josephine G. & Timothy W. Driskill Children’s Discovery Garden and the reflective Stanford Family Liberty Garden. The garden welcomes visitors year-round with seasonal events, including the popular Botanic Garden of Lights festival.

Development includes 60 acres of curated gardens surrounding the lake, while preserving 110 acres of native woodland and prairie. Early phases featured the lake, Visitor’s Center, two nature trails, and essential infrastructure – including two miles of 12-inch waterline rising over 200 feet in elevation with a multi-stage pump facility and 1,000 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer connecting to a new lift station. Our work also included the entry road and parking areas.
