Tulsa Fire Safety Training Center

The Tulsa Fire Safety Training Center is a state-of-the-art facility and the first of its kind in the state of Oklahoma.
A collaborative effort between the City of Tulsa, Tulsa Community College and the Tulsa Fire Department, the center was created for live-fire and hands-on training, prioritizing safety and sustainability while providing essential instruction for both new and experienced emergency responders.
Designed as a regional training hub, the facility supports comprehensive learning from initial response through operational recovery, offering all necessary training and testing props on-site to meet Firefighter I and II credentialing requirements without the need to travel elsewhere. The center also fosters partnerships with other agencies, educational institutions, affiliated industries and private organizations.
Wallace Design Collective provided structural and civil engineering services for the training facility. Phase I included a multi-story drill tower for training in diverse environments – from industrial to high-rise scenarios – and a mock fire station to house training trucks, simulating real-world firefighter operations. The master plan also incorporates a classroom building and props for aircraft and swift-water rescue training.
