The Tulsa Zoo is transforming into a world-class destination through its 20-year master plan.

In 2012, the Tulsa Zoo launched Building Beyond Your Wildest Dreams, a 20-year master plan and the most ambitious capital campaign in its history. The plan calls for major renovations and the addition of five signature exhibit areas: African Plains, Lost Kingdom, African Forest, Sheepy Hollow Children’s Area and Wild Islands.

Lost Kingdom expands the zoo with a five-acre Asian animal exhibit. Wallace Design Collective provided structural and civil engineering services for the attraction, which houses Malayan tigers, snow leopards, Komodo dragons, red pandas and binturongs. Visitors explore lush gardens and cultural settings inspired by ancient Asia, enjoy dining with direct views into the tiger habitat at the George Kaiser Family Foundation Special Events and Dining Pavilion, and experience a unique tiger bridge where big cats walk directly above guest pathways.

Wallace Design Collective also provided structural and civil engineering services for two of the plan’s early projects – the Mary K. Chapman Rhino Reserve and the Helmerich Sea Lion Cove.
