University of Georgia Brumby Hall Renovation

Originally opened in 1966, Brumby Hall is a high-rise residence hall that has long served students at the University of Georgia.
Brumby Hall was fully renovated to improve building systems, student amenities and overall functionality for today’s campus needs.
KSi Structural Engineers, now part of Wallace Design Collective, provided structural engineering services for the building’s renovation. The project included the full replacement of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as upgrades to one elevator to accommodate stretcher access. Additionally, it involved roof replacement, exterior envelope maintenance and repair, and hazardous material abatement where necessary.
Interior renovations included the reconfiguration of all living, bathroom and select programmatic spaces, improving privacy and modernizing amenities. The building’s one-story rotunda, along with the main entrance lobby and adjacent spaces were also renovated.
