A powerhouse addition helping Sooner athletes train smarter, recover faster and perform stronger.

The Lloyd Noble Center, opened in 1975 on the University of Oklahoma campus, serves as the home for the Sooners’ men’s and women’s basketball programs, both traditionally among the top Division I teams. As the programs have grown, so has the need for modern facilities to support their student-athletes.

The new strength training and performance center, located adjacent to the practice gyms, provides expanded training resources for both basketball programs as well as other Sooner student-athletes. The 18,400 square foot facility includes areas for advanced strength training equipment, a multipurpose space for performance testing and assessment, a nutrition center and indoor and outdoor turf areas.

Wallace Design Collective provided structural engineering services for the addition, creating a versatile, all-encompassing space where coaches and athletes can train, recover and develop daily. The facility strengthens the university’s commitment to athlete development while accommodating the needs of multiple programs.
