Roof consulting is the science of protecting what’s beneath while planning for what’s ahead. It’s not just about stopping leaks, it’s about maximizing performance, longevity and peace of mind.

With millions of square feet of roof assessments under our belt, our team brings a proven track record of expertise, precision and insight to every project. From standing seam metal to TPO and everything in between, we’ve got you covered – literally.

Our comprehensive roof assessment process empowers building owners and facility managers to make informed, data-driven decisions about roof repair, replacement and long-term asset management. We quickly identify potential issues, develop cost-effective repair strategies, and provide structural repair drawings when needed to keep your facility safe, functional and compliant.

Our evaluation process includes general condition assessments, damage evaluations, life-cycle analyses and installation reviews. We utilize a proprietary assessment scorecard – a numerical roof condition grading system stored in our internal database, to help facility managers prioritize, schedule and budget for ongoing roof maintenance and capital planning.

We also provide detailed re-roof design drawings, energy and code compliance verification calculations and expert repair recommendations. Most of our roof consultants are licensed professional structural engineers, which enables us to deliver both roofing and structural repair solutions quickly and efficiently.

Our mission is to extend the lifespan of your roof, specify repairs when needed and recommend replacement when necessary.

Roofing Systems

We know roofs inside and out – no matter the material. From TPO and PVC to Mod-Bit, BUR, and standing seam metal, our team is experienced with nearly every roofing system and insulation type on the market. Whether it’s repair, replacement, or evaluation, we bring deep knowledge of each system’s composition, performance and best application.

Our team uses a proven methodology to determine whether a roof’s condition warrants targeted repairs or full replacement. Because many of our consultants are also licensed structural engineers, we can quickly generate detailed design documents for re-roofing or structural modifications when needed.

  • TPO: Thermoplastic polyolefin plastic + UV protectors + reinforcing fibers + olefin
  • PVC: Polyvinyl Chloride ethylene + chlorine + plasticisers
  • EPDM (Rubber): Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer – rubber + polymer
  • BUR: Built Up Roof – fiberglass + asphalt + coating
  • Elastomeric: Category of elastic roof coating products
  • Metal: Screw down, standing seam, painted, coated
  • EPS: Expanded Polystyrene – styrofoam insulation
  • Polyiso or ISO: Polyisocyanurate – insulation
  • Asphalt Shingles: Asphalt or composite shingles – fiberglass mat embedded between two asphalt layers
  • Mod-Bit: Modified Bitumen – asphalt (bitumen) + polymers (modifiers) + reinforcements – APP Mod-Bit (plastic) | SBS Mod-Bit (elastic)

Roof Assessments

Our Roof Assessment services provide a thorough evaluation of your roofing system’s condition, identifying potential issues early and helping you make informed decisions to protect your investment.

roof assessments

Wallace Design Collective has developed a comprehensive roof assessment process that includes general evaluations, hail and storm damage inspections, leak detection (when requested) and a detailed roof service life scorecard. This scorecard, a numerical grading system based on our evaluation of thousands of roofs, helps determine overall roof condition and when replacement is more cost-effective than repair.

Our team can design and recommend targeted repairs to restore the roof system or stop leaks. When replacement is warranted, we can provide either a streamlined repair specification based on manufacturer details or detailed re-roof drawings that give owners greater control over installation procedures.

Our roof assessment services help identify potential issues early, extend the lifespan of your roofing system and support informed decisions about repairs or replacements, helping protect your investment.
