University of Tennessee Agriculture and Natural Resources Building

The Agriculture and Natural Resources Building serves as an academic and research hub at the University of Tennessee.
Wallace Design Collective provided structural engineering services for the university’s new 157,000 square foot Agriculture and Natural Resources Building. Designed to support interdisciplinary research and collaboration, the facility includes a range of state-of-the-art teaching labs, public service and research laboratories, classrooms and departmental offices. Additional spaces include graduate student areas, faculty offices and support spaces for both academic and outreach functions.
The building features multiple classrooms of varying sizes, ranging from 45- to 130-seat rooms, along with lecture halls and a 500-person auditorium. A pedestrian plaza and direct connections to adjacent buildings at multiple levels help create a seamless, integrated campus environment. The project also includes a green roof and large common areas with food service options, providing inviting spaces for students, faculty and visitors to collaborate and connect.
