Chick-Fil-A Dwarf House

The Dwarf House holds a unique place in Chick-fil-A’s history, serving as a tribute to founder Truett Cathy’s original restaurant concept, the Dwarf Grill, which opened in 1946.
Unlike standard Chick-fil-A locations, the Dwarf House combines full-service dining, counter service and a drive-thru, all under one roof, offering a broader menu that includes signature items like Dwarf Burgers, the Giant Burger, the Hot Brown and a selection of classic Southern sides and desserts.
Over time, the restaurant outgrew its original space, operating well beyond capacity with an inefficient layout and limited parking. Recognizing the need for long-term solutions, Truett began acquiring adjacent property prior to his passing in 2014, with a vision for reimagining the space to better serve both customers and staff. His call to “think bigger” inspired the team to pursue a full rebuild.
Wallace Design Collective provided structural engineering services for the new 10,980 square foot restaurant. The reimagined Dwarf House honors Truett Cathy’s legacy while creating a modern, efficient environment designed to support high-volume service and a memorable dining experience.
