Denver Beer Company – South Downing

Known for their approachable, locally sourced brews and commitment to sustainability, Denver Beer Co. continues to grow with the addition of a third taproom. This project thoughtfully remodeled two adjacent buildings into a single, welcoming neighborhood destination.

Wallace Design Collective provided structural engineering services for the transformation, which preserved much of the original structure while introducing a new taproom, brewhouse, counter-service kitchen and expansive community patio. The outdoor space invites visitors to settle in, with fire pits, lawn games and open green areas that feel more like a backyard than a bar.

The design reflects Denver Beer Co.’s ongoing commitment to the community and the environment. In addition to pervious green space and stormwater-conscious site elements, the space is powered entirely by clean solar energy, bringing their values to life from the first pour to the last sip.
