A mid-century Tulsa landmark reimagined as a boutique stay and rooftop dining destination in the SoBo District.

The former Boulder Plaza Apartments/River Parks Lofts now welcome guests as the Brut Hotel with Soma Rooftop Kitchen + Bar. Developed by Sharp Development and Wolf Group Properties, the 1953 concrete building retains its Brutalist character while adding modern hospitality – 82 oversized rooms, a lobby café, a lounge that opens to an outdoor patio, a pool and an expansive event lawn.

From the ninth floor, guests take in sweeping views of downtown and the Arkansas River, with programming that leans local – from art and fashion pop-ups to wellness events – and quick connections to River Parks trails.

Wallace Design Collective provided civil engineering and landscape architecture services for the adaptive reuse, including site access and circulation, grading and drainage, utility coordination and the landscape design for the patio, pool deck and event lawn. Our work ties the building’s strong architectural identity to an active public realm, creating a hospitality experience rooted in place.
