Advancing access to comprehensive care through a welcoming, community-centered environment.

The Cherokee Nation Amo Health and Wellness Center represents a significant investment in modern outpatient healthcare for the Salina community. Developed to replace an existing facility, the new clinic expands capacity and brings a broad range of medical services together under one roof – creating a centralized destination for preventative care, treatment and wellness.

Wallace Design Collective provided structural engineering services for the 109,000 square foot outpatient healthcare center. The facility is designed to support a wide spectrum of services, including primary medical care, pediatrics, public health nursing, laboratory and pharmacy services, radiology, optometry, behavioral health, dental care, nutrition and wellness programs. This integrated approach allows patients and families to access coordinated care in a single, thoughtfully planned setting.

The design draws inspiration from the surrounding natural landscape, with curvilinear forms, nature-inspired colors and abundant natural daylight. Views to outdoor spaces and carefully considered interior layouts contribute to a calming atmosphere intended to support patient comfort, staff well-being and overall healing.

The Amo Health and Wellness Center reflects a commitment to long-term community health, cultural sensitivity and accessible care – delivered through a modern facility designed to serve generations to come.
