Best Western Plus Hotels

Love’s Hospitality, a division of the Love’s Family of Companies, continues to expand its reach with a growing portfolio of hotel properties nationwide – among them, numerous Best Western Plus locations.

Wallace Design Collective provided structural engineering services for a 56,000 square foot, 87-key Best Western Plus hotels. The four-story structures include a mix of extended-stay suites and standard guest rooms. To optimize floor-to-ceiling heights, the buildings were designed with press-plate wood roof trusses, wood stud walls and wood I-joist floor framing. The lateral systems addressed the challenges of a complex floor plan by carefully managing the lateral load path, while structural steel was used selectively to achieve longer spans and accommodate a curved balcony overlooking each hotel’s spacious two-story lobby.
