Designed to bring people together over great beer and good energy, Denver Beer Co.’s new taproom blends craft, comfort and sustainability in equal measure.

Founded in 2011, this independently owned craft brewery brings a joyful, community-driven spirit to Colorado’s beer scene. Rooted in the belief that beer should be both high-quality and high-fun, the brewery is known for approachable, well-crafted brews made with locally sourced grain and powered entirely by clean solar energy. Their new 4,200 square foot taproom and brewhouse continues that ethos, offering an inviting space designed for gathering, relaxing and enjoying the moment.

Wallace Design Collective provided structural engineering services for the taproom and brewhouse, which includes a seven-barrel brewing system from DME and a 5,400 square foot outdoor patio built for all-season comfort. Inside, the space accommodates up to 125 guests. In comparison, two patios extend the experience outdoors for an additional 360 guests, complete with fire pits, patio heaters, misters and game areas that invite visitors to linger.

Sustainability is built into the bones of the building. Solar panel arrays line the roof, supplying 100% of the structure’s power needs. South- and east-facing garage doors open the interior to daylight and fresh air. At the same time, on-site bike parking and electric vehicle charging stations reinforce the brewery’s commitment to environmental responsibility. All of this is wrapped into a space that reflects both the energy of the neighborhood and the values of the people behind the beer.
