As the largest private hunger-relief organization in eastern Oklahoma, the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma has been serving families across 24 counties since 1981.

Founded in 1981, the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma is the largest private hunger-relief organization in eastern Oklahoma. With branches in Tulsa and McAlester, it partners with hundreds of pantries, shelters, and meal sites to serve families across 24 counties. In addition to emergency food distribution, its programs address child and senior nutrition, veteran outreach, and community education aimed at tackling the root causes of hunger.

Wallace Design Collective provided structural and civil engineering for the renovation and expansion of the Food Bank’s headquarters. The project added warehouse space, expanded the culinary and volunteer center, and improved partner agency access. Upgrades to the commercial kitchen boosted capacity from 10,000 to 60,000 meals per week, while redesigned spaces support training, collaboration, and operations. New features include a teaching kitchen, volunteer center, boardroom, privacy pods, and a USDA-approved clean room for bulk protein packaging and distribution.
