Sacred Heart Catholic Church

From a log church to a new worship space, Sacred Heart continues its legacy in Gardner, Kansas.
Sacred Heart has played an important role in the history of Gardner. The parish began in 1870, when 15 families came together to build a small log church at the corner of Center and Warren Streets, later dedicating it as St. Columba in 1875. Today, the parish has grown to more than 850 members.
Wallace Design Collective provided structural engineering services for the new 15,000 square foot church with a steeple. The facility includes parish offices, a choir loft, a large foyer and a worship space designed to accommodate up to 900 people.
