Stacks on Main

Stacks on Main offers an accessible gateway to the vibrant East Nashville lifestyle without the premium price tag. Located approximately 1.5 miles east of downtown and less than a mile west of Five Points, the complex is conveniently close to numerous restaurants, bars, retail shops and cafes.

The apartments are arranged around two courtyards, forming two buildings – one four stories and the other five. The unit mix includes studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. Amenities feature a fitness center, business center, rooftop deck and an in-ground pool.

KSi Structural Engineers, now part of Wallace Design Collective, provided structural engineering services for this five-level, 268-unit apartment complex and a 330-car parking garage. The parking garage is a five-level precast concrete deck. The structural system combines stick-built timber framing with load-bearing walls supported on a structural steel first level to create large, open spaces. Challenges such as the sloping site, fire separations and expansion joint requirements were addressed to simplify the load-bearing timber design.
