Stillwater Public Schools Westwood Elementary School

Westwood Elementary School creates a modern, collaborative learning environment designed to serve students for generations to come.
Wallace Design Collective provided structural and civil engineering services for a new 93,000 square foot elementary school, replacing the original 1950s building.
The two-story facility accommodates 600 students and includes spacious classrooms, a media center, gymnasium and cafeteria. Classrooms are organized in clusters of four around shared community spaces that encourage collaboration. The design also incorporates two hardened areas for storm safety, as well as significantly expanded pick-up and drop-off zones to improve traffic flow. Located just two blocks west of its predecessor, the new school provides a modern, future-ready learning environment for students and staff.
