Supporting independence and skill development, The Village at a New Leaf creates a supportive, empowering environment for residents to thrive at home, at work and in the community.

The Village at a New Leaf is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing independence and individual choice for people with developmental disabilities and autism through vocational and residential services. Since its founding in 1979 with a single greenhouse and two clients, A New Leaf has grown into a vital community resource, now serving over 325 individuals through employment, education and housing programs.

Wallace Design Collective provided civil engineering services for The Village, an innovative agrihood community centered around a working farm. Phase I of the development includes safe and affordable housing for 62 clients, a community home, five single-family residences, a six-unit apartment building, a transition academy, dining hall, administration building, the Hilti Horticulture Training Center and a two-acre farm.
