With an inclusive, welcoming design, The Well fosters connection, wellness and personal growth through accessible health, enrichment and educational programs.

Developed through a partnership between Cleveland County and the Cleveland County Health Department, The Well was born from the 2017 Cleveland County Master Plan and embodies the county’s vision to promote the health and well-being of its residents. Originally focused on expanding access to fresh food and supporting the Norman Farm Market, the project evolved into a vibrant community hub offering programs that foster holistic wellness.

Wallace Design Collective provided structural and civil engineering services for The Well, a 14,000 square foot healthy living facility. The two-story building houses classrooms, a kitchen and an 800 square foot clinic, while adjacent outdoor green space accommodates cooking and gardening demonstrations, low-cost fitness classes, support groups, workforce development programs and youth and senior activities. The Well serves as both a shared resource and a symbol of renewal for the community.
