Roman Nose State Park Lodge

Roman Nose State Park was created in 1937 by the Civilian Conservation Corps as part of President Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal programs. The park, named after the Cheyenne Chief Henry, Roman Nose is one of the original seven Oklahoma state parks.

Set amidst a beautiful canyon, the park includes two lakes, three natural springs, and numerous hiking trails. The lodge, originally constructed in 1956, features a 22-room lodge renovated to reflect the natural landscape of the surrounding area.

Wallace provided structural and civil engineering services for the investigation and renovation of the damaged wood-framed lodge. The renovation included a new entrance, lobby and 2,100 square foot addition of guest rooms and expanded public restrooms. Our civil services included erosion control, grading and relocation of the utilities.
