Schermerhorn Symphony Center

The Schermerhorn Symphony Center is a landmark cultural venue celebrated for its architectural beauty and exceptional acoustics.
Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, the 197,000 square foot neoclassical building features a grand 180-foot colonnade along its west façade, facing Gateway Park, and designed to harmonize visually and functionally with the city’s growing arts district.
The centerpiece of the facility is the 1,900-seat performance hall, designed to support a wide range of musical experiences. The stage accommodates up to 115 musicians and is framed by 150 choral seats, allowing for both orchestral and vocal performances.
In addition to the main hall, the center includes a 3,000 square foot classroom that supports educational outreach and community programming. The building’s unique design features seven half-levels, allowing for accessible entry points from various public spaces.
KSi Structural Engineers, now part of Wallace Design Collective, provided structural engineering services for this iconic venue. The center has earned national and international acclaim for its acoustical performance and timeless architectural design, making it one of the premier symphony halls in the country.
