Transforming a historic downtown site into a dynamic hub for creativity, artistic expression and community connection.

Designed as a vibrant hub for artistic expression and community engagement, the Brown-Kimbrough Center for Arts, Innovation, and Creativity brings a new creative heartbeat to downtown Broken Arrow. Wallace Design Collective provided structural and civil engineering services for the two-story, 15,500 square foot facility, situated on the former site of AVB Bank.

The center hosts a wide range of creative programming for the community, including classes, workshops, gallery exhibitions and events. Dedicated spaces for painting, culinary arts and flexible indoor/outdoor event areas support both established and emerging artists. Multiple classrooms and studios foster hands-on learning and collaboration, while gallery and flex spaces provide venues for sharing and celebrating creative work.

The project was made possible through a generous donation of the property by the Brown-Kimbrough family, longtime owners of AVB Bank, to the City of Broken Arrow in 2020, allowing the site to continue serving the community through creativity, innovation and connection.
