Wallace Design Collective

For many years, Texas Christian University faced a shortage of space and facilities essential for student growth and development. In response to this challenge, the university envisioned the creation of an iconic Greek Village. This vision materialized in the Worth Hills Village development, featuring chapter houses for fraternity and sorority chapters on campus.

Wallace Design Collective provided structural engineering services for a new 400,000 square foot, 781-bed Greek Village that is home to the university’s 25 fraternity and sorority chapters. The 25 chapters are housed across 11 four-story buildings which are interconnected in a park-like setting. The houses reflect TCU’s architectural style and chapters are grouped in two or three per building. Each building is LEED Gold certified.

Chapter houses feature both front and back porches with the back area space designed for grilling and outdoor entertaining. All chapter houses offer plenty of space for events and entertainment with a large chapter room, storage closets to hold chairs needed for larger events, public restrooms, full kitchen, and a private meeting room, all on the first floor.
