Roof Assessment
Wallace Engineering’s roof assessment and inspection team is experienced with standing seam, TPO, PVC, EPDM, Mod-Bit, BUR and screw down metal roof systems. We have developed an assessment process that identifies when the condition of a roof justifies repair or replacement. In addition, most of our roof consultants are licensed professional engineers and can rapidly develop re-roof and structural repair drawings as required.
Our mission is to extend the lifespan of your roof, specify repairs when needed and recommend replacement when necessary.
Roofing and insulation types:
TPO | Thermoplastic polyolefin plastic + UV protectors + reinforcing fibers + olefin
PVC | Polyvinyl Chloride ethylene + chlorine + plasticisers
EPDM (Rubber) | Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer rubber + polymer
Mod-Bit | Modified Bitumen asphalt (bitumen) + polymers (modifiers) + reinforcements APP Mod-Bit (plastic) | SBS Mod-Bit (elastic)
BUR | Built Up Roof fiberglass + asphalt + coating
Elastomeric | Category of elastic roof coating products
Asphalt Shingles | Asphalt or composite shingles fiberglass mat embedded between two asphalt layers
Metal | Screw down, standing seam, painted, coated
EPS | Expanded Polystyrene styrofoam insulation
Polyiso or ISO | Polyisocyanurate insulation
Our evaluation process includes general condition, damage, life-cycle, and installation assessments. Our assessment scorecard is a numerical roof condition grading system saved in our database to help facility managers prioritize, schedule and budget future maintenance planning.
We are able to recommend and design repairs as well as provide re-roof design drawings along with the calculations for code and energy verifications.
