The Winnie
The Winnie is a new multifamily development located in the heart of the Uptown Entertainment District, directly across the street from the Aragon Ballroom and adjacent to the CTA’s Lawrence Red Station. A historic center of jazz and other art, this District serves as a center of culture. Given the access to multiple nodes of transportation, this area has become the focus of significant investment in transit-oriented developments.
Wallace provided structural engineering services for the four-story, 52,000 square foot building located at 4750 North Winthrop in Chicago. One level of structural steel framing encloses parking and a residential lobby while carrying three levels of cold-formed metal framing for 84 residential units and parking for 37 vehicles and 50 bikes.
