Taco Bell
Glen Bell opened the first Taco Bell in 1962 in Downey, California. The original location was a 400-square-foot building about the size of a two-car garage, built with Mission-style arches covering a small walk-up window and serving original menu items: tostadas, burritos, frijoles, chiliburgers and tacos. Today there are more than 15,000 restaurants across the United States.
Wallace Design Collective has provided civil and structural engineering services for prototype development, site adaptation, new construction, conversions, tenant upfit and remodel services for over 140 restaurants in multiple states across the United States. Civil services include improvements to parking lots, drive-thru lane modifications, utilities, grading and drainage. These stores range in size from 2,000-2,600 square feet.
