“I couldn’t be more proud to be part of the leadership at Wallace Design Collective. I’m enthusiastic that we continue to foster growth of young leaders who fuse our culture, projects and engineering principles to better the built environment. True success of our work is shown through the strength of collaboration and seamless integration of the structure into the vision of the project.”

Darcey has an addiction to purchasing plants and gardening. It’s a little known fact because her yard doesn’t properly reflect the habit. However, maybe in 30 years when she retires, it will be the envy of all her neighbors! Or, she’ll just get a job at the local nursery and be the friendly old lady who waters the herbs.
Darcey received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology and her Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Kansas. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in Missouri and 17 other states.
Darcey has worked on a variety of projects including retail, commercial and industrial buildings. In addition to new construction, she has also been involved in numerous historic renovation/restoration projects.
Darcey currently serves on the CREWKC Board and on the National Council of Structural Engineers Association – Structural Engineering Equity and Engagement Committee. She is Past President of the Kansas City Architectural Foundation and is currently a member of the Structural Engineering Association of Kansas and Missouri, the American Institute of Steel Construction, National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying, an affiliate member of American Institute of Architects, and was named 2017 ENR Midwest and National 20 Under 40 award winner.
