Gene has made technical climbs of 14,000-foot mountains in Colorado and Wyoming. He is also a Commercial Certified Diver. Gene has traveled to over 10 countries and is currently helping in Ghana and Kenya, Africa to establish and working with orphanages rescuing girls and women at risk and to help several small villages with water wells and medical clinics.

Gene is on the board of Ocean Academy. This school was established to bring education to the high school age kids on Cay Caulker in Belize.

Notable Achievement:

Gene has chaired the Visiting Council Board for the Civil Engineering and Environmental Sciences and has served on the Engineering Visiting Council Board at The University of Oklahoma for the past several years.

About:

Gene received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree from the University of Oklahoma. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in 19 states.

Gene’s experience encompasses site development; drainage and stormwater management systems; potable water systems; utilities; transportation and bridges; and municipal engineering programs.

Gene has served as the Oklahoma State president for the American Society of Civil Engineers, co-chairs the School of Civil Engineering & Environmental Science Visiting Council at the University of Oklahoma and is past chair of Executive Committee for the OU College of Engineering Board of Visitors. He also serves on the NAIOP board and the board for the University of Oklahoma K20 Research Foundation.
