Interdisciplinary Academic Building
Georgia Southern University

The new Interdisciplinary Academic Building houses Interior Design, Fashion Merchandising, and Apparel Design. Other user groups planned for this facility include; the occupants of building 238 (History, Foreign Languages, International Studies) and building 239 (School of Human Ecology).

The square footage of these 4 existing buildings, combined is approximately 51,850 square feet. The new building is approximately 109,000 square feet on 3 floors, and accommodates all of the existing needs of the above departments plus additional classrooms that can be used by other departments across the campus. The building is accessible from the Pedestrian side on the south, and from the parking lot on the north side of the building. The two entrances meet in the center of the building where all of the core elements are located. The building follows the materials and the architectural style of the campus, clad in brick and glass.
