Morton Comprehensive Health Center
Founded in 1921, Morton Health Care has a distinguished history of providing health services to Tulsa’s minority and economically disadvantaged population, with or without insurance. Morton Health Care had completely outgrown the facility that it had occupied for 71 years, and was struggling to provide the after-hours care and emergency room services that its patients needed. The Morton Comprehensive Health Center provides a beautiful home for an entity serving some of Tulsa’s essential needs
Aided by the funding provided by Tulsa’s landmark Vision 2025 program, the Morton Comprehensive Health Center provides the services Morton’s clientele needs now, as well as the ability to expand services in the future. The facility provides space for medical, dental, behavioral health, optometry, podiatry, patient education, social and WIC services. It also houses pharmacy, laboratory and radiology services, as well as health career and after-hours services. By 2020, the facility is projected to add 320 new jobs and increase its payroll by nearly $8 million. The number of patient visits is expected to increase from 36,000 in 2002 to 71,000. The center also provides practical experience to allied health professionals from area universities and technical colleges.
