Wallace Design Collective

Howell & Vancuren, now part of Wallace Design Collective, provided landscape architectural services for this private residence in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The new residence was sited on a large lot in the established neighborhood of Terwilleger Heights. Existing trees were preserved and supplemented with new trees to create woodland areas around the perimeter to provide separation and privacy from adjoining properties. In these shaded areas, massing of woodland plantings provided a serene setting with year-round interest. These woodland settings were contrasted by open lawn space that provided room for the children to play.

This modern home design provided unique spaces to accommodate a welcoming entry court and arrival zone, pool area, and other courtyard spaces. The client’s interest in gardening led to the incorporation of a greenhouse/conservatory and herb garden. Because of the existing trees and heavy planting along the street, this home gives the appearance of a secluded oasis.
