The Beacon Parking Garage at
Emory University Hospital Midtown

Originally designed as a precast concrete structure, the parking deck was conceived as an eye-catching and artistic augmentation to the Atlanta skyline, strategically situated next to the downtown connector, which runs through the heart of the city. Constructed entirely of precast concrete and clad in iridescent metal panels, the building’s exterior symbolizes the healthcare system’s dedication to the community and serves as a guiding light for daily commuters who strive to serve the people.

KSi, now part of Wallace Design Collective, provided structural engineering services for a 1,000,000 square foot parking garage. The 16-level parking deck contains 2,898 spaces, making it one of the largest parking garages in the southeast and will incorporate room for staff parking, electronic vehicle charging stations, ride share, and active ground level retail space on all three street-facing facades.
