The Mansion on Peachtree
Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead
This luxury hotel and residence in the fashionable Buckhead district is five miles from the High Museum of Art and nine miles from both the World of Coca-Cola and the Atlanta Botanical Garden.
KSi Structural Engineers, now part of Wallace Design Collective, provided structural engineering services for the 570,000 square foot mixed-use development. The project consists of a 46-story residential tower with condominium units and a hotel facility, a two level café building, three levels of parking, six residential villas, a large auto court and garden. The condominium portion of the project includes approximately 35 luxury units on 36 levels. The hotel includes 137 keys on 10 levels, a 19,000 square foot luxury spa, exercise pool, banquet and meeting facilities, and restaurant. The base of the facility includes approximately 40,000 square feet of elevated motor court and gardens. The three levels of parking can hold 230 cars. The unique transfer truss system at the 15th level was featured in Modern Steel Construction magazine. The project was delivered using a fast-tracked design and production schedule including a staged GMP process.
