The Well
The initial concept of The Well focused on growing Norman Farm Market and expanding access to fresh food for the community. As a result of a partnership between Cleveland County and Cleveland County Health Department, the center now includes spaces to serve the public health and needs such as venues to host cooking and gardening demonstrations, low-cost fitness classes, workforce development events, and physical and mental health care resources.
Wallace provided structural and civil engineering services for 14,000 square foot healthy living facility. Located in the heart of Norman, the two-story building features classrooms, kitchen space, an 800 square foot clinic and outdoor green space.
The Well is intended to be an all-in-one destination, said Melody Bays, executive director of The Well. “People are able to shop, learn, play and exercise to improve their health and wellness.”
